Dr. Rita Bhakta received her Doctor of Optometry degree with honors from the University of California Berkeley School of Optometry. She also received her undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Dr. Bhakta has practiced in Tucson since 2002 working in varied practice settings which have allowed her to gain valuable experience in pediatric optometry, as well as contribute to pediatric eye care research.
Dr. Bhakta’s clinical interests include pediatric primary eye care, strabismus, amblyopia treatment, and myopia management. She is a member of the Arizona Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
Outside of work, Dr. Bhakta cherishes time with her family and spending time outside walking and hiking.
